Salzburger Festspiele: Künstlerisch maßstäbliche Aufführungen in den Sparten Oper, Schauspiel und Konzert anzubieten, die über einen komprimierten Zeitraum von fünf bis sechs Sommerwochen veranstaltet werden in einer Stadt, deren unversehrt erhaltene barocke Architektur selbst bereits die schönste Kulisse bildet. Eine Aufführungsstätte davon ist auch die Pernerinsel in Hallein. The Schlosskonzert are with over 320 concerts a year, held in the most beautiful concert hall – the Marble Hall at Mirabell Palace, one of the world's largest concert series.Famous artists – for example - Igor Oistrach, Benjamin Schmid, Joerg Demus and Clemens Hagen and world famous ensembles like the Bartok Quartet, Kocian Quartet, Voces Quartet and members of the Vienna and Berlin Philharmonic Orchestras are playing the most beautiful pieces by Mozart and his contemporaries.
