Sporting Activities

All hikes, Nordic-walking routes, mountain-bike tours, cycle paths etc. can be found in the Tennengau Tour Map. 
With the Salzburg Super Ski Card , you can get to know a different ski area every single day. Most areas are within 35 – 60 mins. reach by car.
On the golf course in Hallein-Rif, you will encounter an outstanding setting for a great round of golf. Set against the breath-taking backdrop of the Untersberg Massif, you can look forward to a marvelous experience on this unique 9-hole course with some truly challenging hazards.
The Hallein Rif sports center is just 2 km from here. It is open to groups with reservations, but also at certain times to the general public

Hiking

Many hikes begin right here at the hotel. In the Tennengau Hiking Book, you will find precise descriptions of all hikes. 
The Berchtesgaden – Salzburg alpine trekking trail runs right past us, just a little above the hotel, and can be tackled from start to finish in about 7 days. 
The new SalzAlpenSteig is a trail that also makes its way via Hallein. 

Nordic Walking
Jogging

From here at the hotel, you will run towards the River Salzach. Along the river itself, you will find ideal conditions for shorter or longer runs or power walks. 
The Power Tour takes you right past our hotel, while other clearly marked routes can be reached via the Salzach. (Distance ca. 300 m).

Cycling

For all cyclists we are an ideal base, especially since both the Tauern Bike Path and the Salt & Lakes Tour both pass close by. We are just 300 m from the River Salzach, and the path is clearly marked. 

Mountain biking

Several marked mountain-bike routes are described in the MTB Guide, with options including single-day tours as well as multi-day adventures such as the Göll Tour.

Skiing and Snowboarding

> Dürrnberg outside Hallein: ca. 7 km away, you will find the inexpensive family ski area on the Zinkenkogel.
Take advantage of the affordable points ticket, or perhaps the 2, 3 or 4-hour passes.

>  Gaissau/Hintersee ski area, ca. 20 km away

Cross-Country Skiing

Next to our house in Bad Dürrnberg at 800 m above sea level, you will find the Grenzland ski trail, which is 2.5 km long.
